1. What we collect
WebCapture collects the minimum information needed to provide the service:
- Account information — your email address when you sign in via Google OAuth.
- Captures you upload — screenshot images you choose to upload to the cloud for sharing. Images are stored securely and linked only to your account.
- Usage data — the number of captures made per day, used solely to enforce free-tier quotas.
- Plan and billing status — your current subscription plan. Payment is processed by a third-party provider; we do not store card details.
2. What we do not collect
- We do not read, scan, or transmit the content of web pages you visit.
- Captures that are not uploaded remain entirely on your device and are never sent to our servers.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.
3. How captures are stored
Uploaded captures are stored in a private cloud bucket. Each upload generates a unique share link. You can delete your captures at any time from your account. Captures from accounts that have been inactive for 12 months may be purged.
4. Cookies and local storage
The extension stores settings, capture history, and session tokens locally in your browser using Chrome's storage.local and storage.sync APIs. No tracking cookies are used.
5. Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- Google OAuth — sign-in only; we receive your email and a unique identifier.
- Payment processor — handles billing; we receive confirmation of plan status only.
6. Data retention and deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Account data is deleted within 30 days of a verified request.
